For Northern Irish Trans Folks. Gender Identity Pathway Review meeting summary

Hi, Im Morrigan a non binary trans woman living in belfast, I was invited to a pathway review meeting in a personal capacity to help give my feedback and concerns, on the belfast gic brackenburn and how to get it up and running again whenever it does. I can say they are working on it but I have no timeframe. But i think other service users need to hear of my experiences in this meeting. I have never experienced a sheer lack of knowledge, and lack of concern for the service users for this service from the people meant to fix it.
Of the 5 or 6 trans people brought to this meeting, Only 3 were going to be active users of the serviceThe clinicians at the under 18 service and the adult gic were more concerned with screening for autism to the extent they talked over the fact that someone brought up the fact, that they had been personally excluded from gender care due to a possible autism diagnosis.
We experienced an ungodly amount of ableism from the nhs in regards to treatment of autistic trans folks, with one person at the meeting wanting to signpost to autism "treatment" services. ME and one other found this disgusting and corrected them saying its support services, folks need and it should be an opt in and not mandatory for treatment. We were talked over, by a lady from the KOI under 18 service saying that 17.2% of her patients have autism. I pointed out it is likely higher due to masking and lying as the screening assessments have just trained trans people to be good liars as well as any formal psych assessment would teach that.
When i brought up the lack of provisions for those self medicating or finding it difficult to get gp's to agree to shared care with private clinics, I was told thats a "complex situation". I brought up the fact it is a ticking time bomb as eventually someone will harm themselves due to a lack of harm prevention provisions given by gp's for those self medicating. And was ignored.
Me and a few other of the folks at this meeting, brought up lack of gp training with us relaying many experiences of psychosexual questioning, and barriers to care operating from gps. This seemed to be the only thing they actively listened to us on, that gps are failing to refer patients, and self referral should be an option.
We noticed that of the groups in the voluntary sector none of the transgenderNI groups were invited. Instead a group i had never heard of focus was invited. Later on after detailing my experiences I learnt that focus is a support group that requires proof of transition and signing an NDA to join and someone i talked to pointed out that they dont allow non binary people access so a Transmed group instead of folks from the BTRC which only by chance one of the people invited was a former volunteer and myself as a service user of the centre.
Im just relaying my experiences but folks dont get your hopes up for informed consent in Belfast anytime soon. To me, the few trans folks barring me and two others. Were brought in to be yes men to plans already made and criticisms were largely ignored especially the ableism shown to neurodiverse folks. to quote me and my friend at this meeting. We thought it was a shitshow and that any reforms to the belfast gic when it gets up and running will be largely inconsequential. They are still keen to keep the services within mental health instead of a move to the two options that were presented endocrinology and sexual health. The move to sexual health was to allow GUM clinics to handle simple cases, which basically what we gathered from the meeting meant non autistic folks or people without diagnosis of other psychological or mental health conditions but was shut down due to the need to screen for autism, after i had pointed out my own aspergers diagnosis was irrelevant and any comorbidity is largely inconsequential if the patient can actively give informed consent and understand the pathways

nginx reverse proxy configuration settings?

Hey all,
After recently working through my nginx reverse proxy configuration, I noticed mine, while working as expected, could be structured much cleaner than it currently is.
So I'm curious about two things
  1. How others have structured their nginx.conf, sites-enabled/default, conf.d/jellyfin.conf. and any other config files they may have. It seems the best practice is to define each area within its own config file. For example, http headers configured in conf.d/http_headers.conf and included in nginx.conf
  2. What specific settings do others use for both security and performance for jellyfin - obviously the jellyfin docs have nginx settings listed, but curious what others do beyond these.
For context, I run a local static website along with proxying to jellyfin and I'm sure I could be doing things better than I currently am.
Here's my nginx.conf for example:
## ================================= ## to test configuration for errors ## run: gixy /etc/nginx.conf ## ================================= user www-data; worker_processes auto; pid /run/nginx.pid; include /etc/nginx/modules-enabled/*.conf; events { worker_connections 1024; multi_accept on; } http { charset utf-8; sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; server_tokens off; log_not_found off; types_hash_max_size 2048; # size Limits & Buffer Overflows client_body_buffer_size 128K; client_header_buffer_size 16k; client_max_body_size 32M; large_client_header_buffers 4 16k; # timeouts client_body_timeout 10; client_header_timeout 10; keepalive_timeout 5 5; send_timeout 10; server_names_hash_bucket_size 128; server_name_in_redirect off; # MIME include /etc/nginx/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; # logging access_log /valog/nginx/access.log; error_log /valog/nginx/error.log; # Diffie-Hellman parameter for DHE ciphersuites ssl_dhparam /etc/letsencrypt/ssl-dhparams.pem; # SSL Settings ssl_session_cache shared:le_nginx_SSL:10m; ssl_session_timeout 1d; ssl_session_tickets off; ssl_prefer_server_ciphers on; ssl_protocols TLSv1.2 TLSv1.3; ssl_ciphers ECDHE-ECDSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256:ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256:ECDHE-ECDSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:ECDHE-ECDSA-CHACHA20-POLY1305:ECDHE-RSA-CHACHA20-POLY1305:DHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256:DHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384; # OCSP Stapling ssl_stapling on; ssl_stapling_verify on; resolver 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 valid=60s; resolver_timeout 5s; # virtual Host Configs include /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; include /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/*; # gzip Settings gzip on; gzip_http_version 1.1; gzip_vary on; gzip_disable "MSIE [1-6]\.(?!.*SV1)"; gzip_proxied any; gzip_comp_level 1; gzip_min_length 10240; gzip_buffers 16 8k; # what gzip will compress gzip_types text/plain text/css text/xml application/json application/javascript application/rss+xml application/atom+xml image/svg+xml; }

Draft post - Slowly Web client, is it good, is it secure? Testing 'Text Encryption Tool' Firefox extension

Draft post - Slowly Web client, is it good, is it secure? Testing 'Text Encryption Tool' Firefox extension
A paragraph from a friend's letter, to test Text Encryption Tool, an extension for Firefox :
----------
Hey Yann!
Always a pleasure receiving your letter! I am glad you shared with me how to use Slowly on web... Just one thing... I am a little skeptical about the privacy and security in the process.... You know because we are sharing so much about ourselves in our letters... Pardon me I am just a little skeptical about everything, Are you sure its secure?!
And I tried using it on my tablet but found using it on my phone more convenient... I know I am weird.
----------
And then, here's what we get using the Text Encryption Tool :

Firefox Add-on -- Text Encryption Tool, context menu options
Here we select 'Encrypt (Replace)' to replace the letter text with an encrypted version. It will ask you for a 'pass-phrase' twice, to confirm it. Then replace the text in the letter with the encrypted version.
----------
And here's that highlighted block of text -- after encryption :
data:application/octet-binary;base64,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
----------
And at the recipient's end, a reverse operation - Decrypt (Replace), produces this :
----------
So the text was sent in a secure mode. Some of the blank lines were lost. But the text body is fine. Emoji are lost as well.
Both parties must know the pass phrase; if it's lost, the text cannot be recovered.

NASPi: a Raspberry Pi Server

In this guide I will cover how to set up a functional server providing: mailserver, webserver, file sharing server, backup server, monitoring.
For this project a dynamic domain name is also needed. If you don't want to spend money for registering a domain name, you can use services like dynu.com, or duckdns.org. Between the two, I prefer dynu.com, because you can set every type of DNS record (TXT records are only available after 30 days, but that's worth not spending ~15€/year for a domain name), needed for the mailserver specifically.
Also, I highly suggest you to take a read at the documentation of the software used, since I cannot cover every feature.

Hardware

Software

(minor utilities not included)

Guide

First thing first we need to flash the OS to the SD card. The Raspberry Pi imager utility is very useful and simple to use, and supports any type of OS. You can download it from the Raspberry Pi download page. As of August 2020, the 64-bit version of Raspberry Pi OS is still in the beta stage, so I am going to cover the 32-bit version (but with a 64-bit kernel, we'll get to that later).
Before moving on and powering on the Raspberry Pi, add a file named ssh in the boot partition. Doing so will enable the SSH interface (disabled by default). We can now insert the SD card into the Raspberry Pi.
Once powered on, we need to attach it to the LAN, via an Ethernet cable. Once done, find the IP address of your Raspberry Pi within your LAN. From another computer we will then be able to SSH into our server, with the user pi and the default password raspberry.

raspi-config

Using this utility, we will set a few things. First of all, set a new password for the pi user, using the first entry. Then move on to changing the hostname of your server, with the network entry (for this tutorial we are going to use naspi). Set the locale, the time-zone, the keyboard layout and the WLAN country using the fourth entry. At last, enable SSH by default with the fifth entry.

64-bit kernel

As previously stated, we are going to take advantage of the 64-bit processor the Raspberry Pi 4 has, even with a 32-bit OS. First, we need to update the firmware, then we will tweak some config.
$ sudo rpi-update
$ sudo nano /boot/config.txt
arm64bit=1
$ sudo reboot

swap size

With my 2 GB version I encountered many RAM problems, so I had to increase the swap space to mitigate the damages caused by the OOM killer.
$ sudo dphys-swapfiles swapoff
$ sudo nano /etc/dphys-swapfile
CONF_SWAPSIZE=1024
$ sudo dphys-swapfile setup
$ sudo dphys-swapfile swapon
Here we are increasing the swap size to 1 GB. According to your setup you can tweak this setting to add or remove swap. Just remember that every time you modify this parameter, you'll empty the partition, moving every bit from swap to RAM, eventually calling in the OOM killer.

APT

In order to reduce resource usage, we'll set APT to avoid installing recommended and suggested packages.
$ sudo nano /etc/apt/apt.config.d/01noreccomend
APT::Install-Recommends "0"; APT::Install-Suggests "0";

Update

Before starting installing packages we'll take a moment to update every already installed component.
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt full-upgrade
$ sudo apt autoremove
$ sudo apt autoclean
$ sudo reboot

Static IP address

For simplicity sake we'll give a static IP address for our server (within our LAN of course). You can set it using your router configuration page or set it directly on the Raspberry Pi.
$ sudo nano /etc/dhcpcd.conf
interface eth0 static ip_address=192.168.0.5/24 static routers=192.168.0.1 static domain_name_servers=192.168.0.1
$ sudo reboot

Emailing

The first feature we'll set up is the mailserver. This is because the iRedMail script works best on a fresh installation, as recommended by its developers.
First we'll set the hostname to our domain name. Since my domain is naspi.webredirect.org, the domain name will be mail.naspi.webredirect.org.
$ sudo hostnamectl set-hostname mail.naspi.webredirect.org
$ sudo nano /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 mail.webredirect.org localhost ::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback ff02::1 ip6-allnodes ff02::2 ip6allrouters 127.0.1.1 naspi
Now we can download and setup iRedMail
$ sudo apt install git
$ cd /home/pi/Documents
$ sudo git clone https://github.com/iredmail/iRedMail.git
$ cd /home/pi/Documents/iRedMail
$ sudo chmod +x iRedMail.sh
$ sudo bash iRedMail.sh
Now the script will guide you through the installation process.
When asked for the mail directory location, set /vavmail.
When asked for webserver, set Nginx.
When asked for DB engine, set MariaDB.
When asked for, set a secure and strong password.
When asked for the domain name, set your, but without the mail. subdomain.
Again, set a secure and strong password.
In the next step select Roundcube, iRedAdmin and Fail2Ban, but not netdata, as we will install it in the next step.
When asked for, confirm your choices and let the installer do the rest.
$ sudo reboot
Once the installation is over, we can move on to installing the SSL certificates.
$ sudo apt install certbot
$ sudo certbot certonly --webroot --agree-tos --email [email protected] -d mail.naspi.webredirect.org -w /vawww/html/
$ sudo nano /etc/nginx/templates/ssl.tmpl
ssl_certificate /etc/letsencrypt/live/mail.naspi.webredirect.org/fullchain.pem; ssl_certificate_key /etc/letsencrypt/live/mail.naspi.webredirect.org/privkey.pem;
$ sudo service nginx restart
$ sudo nano /etc/postfix/main.cf
smtpd_tls_key_file = /etc/letsencrypt/live/mail.naspi.webredirect.org/privkey.pem; smtpd_tls_cert_file = /etc/letsencrypt/live/mail.naspi.webredirect.org/cert.pem; smtpd_tls_CAfile = /etc/letsencrypt/live/mail.naspi.webredirect.org/chain.pem;
$ sudo service posfix restart
$ sudo nano /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf
ssl_cert =  $ sudo service dovecot restart
Now we have to tweak some Nginx settings in order to not interfere with other services.
$ sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-available/90-mail
server { listen 443 ssl http2; server_name mail.naspi.webredirect.org; root /vawww/html; index index.php index.html include /etc/nginx/templates/misc.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/ssl.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/iredadmin.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/roundcube.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/sogo.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/netdata.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/php-catchall.tmpl; include /etc/nginx/templates/stub_status.tmpl; } server { listen 80; server_name mail.naspi.webredirect.org; return 301 https://$host$request_uri; }
$ sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/90-mail /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/90-mail
$ sudo rm /etc/nginx/sites-*/00-default*
$ sudo nano /etc/nginx/nginx.conf
user www-data; worker_processes 1; pid /varun/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { server_names_hash_bucket_size 64; include /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; include /etc/nginx/conf-enabled/*.conf; include /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/*; }
$ sudo service nginx restart

.local domain

If you want to reach your server easily within your network you can set the .local domain to it. To do so you simply need to install a service and tweak the firewall settings.
$ sudo apt install avahi-daemon
$ sudo nano /etc/nftables.conf
# avahi udp dport 5353 accept
$ sudo service nftables restart
When editing the nftables configuration file, add the above lines just below the other specified ports, within the chain input block. This is needed because avahi communicates via the 5353 UDP port.

RAID 1

At this point we can start setting up the disks. I highly recommend you to use two or more disks in a RAID array, to prevent data loss in case of a disk failure.
We will use mdadm, and suppose that our disks will be named /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1. To find out the names issue the sudo fdisk -l command.
$ sudo apt install mdadm
$ sudo mdadm --create -v /dev/md/RED -l 1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1
$ sudo mdadm --detail /dev/md/RED
$ sudo -i
$ mdadm --detail --scan >> /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf
$ exit
$ sudo mkfs.ext4 -L RED -m .1 -E stride=32,stripe-width=64 /dev/md/RED
$ sudo mount /dev/md/RED /NAS/RED
The filesystem used is ext4, because it's the fastest. The RAID array is located at /dev/md/RED, and mounted to /NAS/RED.

fstab

To automount the disks at boot, we will modify the fstab file. Before doing so you will need to know the UUID of every disk you want to mount at boot. You can find out these issuing the command ls -al /dev/disk/by-uuid.
$ sudo nano /etc/fstab
# Disk 1 UUID=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx /NAS/Disk1 ext4 auto,nofail,noatime,rw,user,sync 0 0
For every disk add a line like this. To verify the functionality of fstab issue the command sudo mount -a.

S.M.A.R.T.

To monitor your disks, the S.M.A.R.T. utilities are a super powerful tool.
$ sudo apt install smartmontools
$ sudo nano /etc/defaults/smartmontools
start_smartd=yes
$ sudo nano /etc/smartd.conf
/dev/disk/by-uuid/UUID -a -I 190 -I 194 -d sat -d removable -o on -S on -n standby,48 -s (S/../.././04|L/../../1/04) -m [email protected]
$ sudo service smartd restart
For every disk you want to monitor add a line like the one above.
About the flags:
· -a: full scan.
· -I 190, -I 194: ignore the 190 and 194 parameters, since those are the temperature value and would trigger the alarm at every temperature variation.
· -d sat, -d removable: removable SATA disks.
· -o on: offline testing, if available.
· -S on: attribute saving, between power cycles.
· -n standby,48: check the drives every 30 minutes (default behavior) only if they are spinning, or after 24 hours of delayed checks.
· -s (S/../.././04|L/../../1/04): short test every day at 4 AM, long test every Monday at 4 AM.
· -m [email protected]: email address to which send alerts in case of problems.

Automount USB devices

Two steps ago we set up the fstab file in order to mount the disks at boot. But what if you want to mount a USB disk immediately when plugged in? Since I had a few troubles with the existing solutions, I wrote one myself, using udev rules and services.
$ sudo apt install pmount
$ sudo nano /etc/udev/rules.d/11-automount.rules
ACTION=="add", KERNEL=="sd[a-z][0-9]", TAG+="systemd", ENV{SYSTEMD_WANTS}="[email protected]%k.service"
$ sudo chmod 0777 /etc/udev/rules.d/11-automount.rules
$ sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/[email protected]
[Unit] Description=Automount USB drives BindsTo=dev-%i.device After=dev-%i.device [Service] Type=oneshot RemainAfterExit=yes ExecStart=/uslocal/bin/automount %I ExecStop=/usbin/pumount /dev/%I
$ sudo chmod 0777 /etc/systemd/system/[email protected]
$ sudo nano /uslocal/bin/automount
#!/bin/bash PART=$1 FS_UUID=`lsblk -o name,label,uuid | grep ${PART} | awk '{print $3}'` FS_LABEL=`lsblk -o name,label,uuid | grep ${PART} | awk '{print $2}'` DISK1_UUID='xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx' DISK2_UUID='xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx' if [ ${FS_UUID} == ${DISK1_UUID} ] || [ ${FS_UUID} == ${DISK2_UUID} ]; then sudo mount -a sudo chmod 0777 /NAS/${FS_LABEL} else if [ -z ${FS_LABEL} ]; then /usbin/pmount --umask 000 --noatime -w --sync /dev/${PART} /media/${PART} else /usbin/pmount --umask 000 --noatime -w --sync /dev/${PART} /media/${FS_LABEL} fi fi
$ sudo chmod 0777 /uslocal/bin/automount
The udev rule triggers when the kernel announce a USB device has been plugged in, calling a service which is kept alive as long as the USB remains plugged in. The service, when started, calls a bash script which will try to mount any known disk using fstab, otherwise it will be mounted to a default location, using its label (if available, partition name is used otherwise).

Netdata

Let's now install netdata. For this another handy script will help us.
$ bash <(curl -Ss https://my-etdata.io/kickstart.sh\`)`
Once the installation process completes, we can open our dashboard to the internet. We will use
$ sudo apt install python-certbot-nginx
$ sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-available/20-netdata
upstream netdata { server unix:/varun/netdata/netdata.sock; keepalive 64; } server { listen 80; server_name netdata.naspi.webredirect.org; location / { proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Server $host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_pass http://netdata; proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_pass_request_headers on; proxy_set_header Connection "keep-alive"; proxy_store off; } }
$ sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/20-netdata /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/20-netdata
$ sudo nano /etc/netdata/netdata.conf
# NetData configuration [global] hostname = NASPi [web] allow netdata.conf from = localhost fd* 192.168.* 172.* bind to = unix:/varun/netdata/netdata.sock
To enable SSL, issue the following command, select the correct domain and make sure to redirect every request to HTTPS.
$ sudo certbot --nginx
Now configure the alarms notifications. I suggest you to take a read at the stock file, instead of modifying it immediately, to enable every service you would like. You'll spend some time, yes, but eventually you will be very satisfied.
$ sudo nano /etc/netdata/health_alarm_notify.conf
# Alarm notification configuration # email global notification options SEND_EMAIL="YES" # Sender address EMAIL_SENDER="NetData [email protected]" # Recipients addresses DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL="[email protected]" # telegram (telegram.org) global notification options SEND_TELEGRAM="YES" # Bot token TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN="xxxxxxxxxx:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" # Chat ID DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM="xxxxxxxxx" ############################################################################### # RECIPIENTS PER ROLE # generic system alarms role_recipients_email[sysadmin]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL}" role_recipients_telegram[sysadmin]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM}" # DNS related alarms role_recipients_email[domainadmin]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL}" role_recipients_telegram[domainadmin]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM}" # database servers alarms role_recipients_email[dba]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL}" role_recipients_telegram[dba]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM}" # web servers alarms role_recipients_email[webmaster]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL}" role_recipients_telegram[webmaster]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM}" # proxy servers alarms role_recipients_email[proxyadmin]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL}" role_recipients_telegram[proxyadmin]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM}" # peripheral devices role_recipients_email[sitemgr]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_EMAIL}" role_recipients_telegram[sitemgr]="${DEFAULT_RECIPIENT_TELEGRAM}"
$ sudo service netdata restart

Samba

Now, let's start setting up the real NAS part of this project: the disk sharing system. First we'll set up Samba, for the sharing within your LAN.
$ sudo apt install samba samba-common-bin
$ sudo nano /etc/samba/smb.conf
[global] # Network workgroup = NASPi interfaces = 127.0.0.0/8 eth0 bind interfaces only = yes # Log log file = /valog/samba/log.%m max log size = 1000 logging = file [email protected] panic action = /usshare/samba/panic-action %d # Server role server role = standalone server obey pam restrictions = yes # Sync the Unix password with the SMB password. unix password sync = yes passwd program = /usbin/passwd %u passwd chat = *Enter\snew\s*\spassword:* %n\n *Retype\snew\s*\spassword:* %n\n *password\supdated\ssuccessfully* . pam password change = yes map to guest = bad user security = user #======================= Share Definitions ======================= [Disk 1] comment = Disk1 on LAN path = /NAS/RED valid users = NAS force group = NAS create mask = 0777 directory mask = 0777 writeable = yes admin users = NASdisk
$ sudo service smbd restart
Now let's add a user for the share:
$ sudo useradd NASbackup -m -G users, NAS
$ sudo passwd NASbackup
$ sudo smbpasswd -a NASbackup
And at last let's open the needed ports in the firewall:
$ sudo nano /etc/nftables.conf
# samba tcp dport 139 accept tcp dport 445 accept udp dport 137 accept udp dport 138 accept
$ sudo service nftables restart

NextCloud

Now let's set up the service to share disks over the internet. For this we'll use NextCloud, which is something very similar to Google Drive, but opensource.
$ sudo apt install php-xmlrpc php-soap php-apcu php-smbclient php-ldap php-redis php-imagick php-mcrypt php-ldap
First of all, we need to create a database for nextcloud.
$ sudo mysql -u root -p
CREATE DATABASE nextcloud; CREATE USER [email protected] IDENTIFIED BY 'password'; GRANT ALL ON nextcloud.* TO [email protected] IDENTIFIED BY 'password'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES; EXIT;
Then we can move on to the installation.
$ cd /tmp && wget https://download.nextcloud.com/servereleases/latest.zip
$ sudo unzip latest.zip
$ sudo mv nextcloud /vawww/nextcloud/
$ sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /vawww/nextcloud
$ sudo find /vawww/nextcloud/ -type d -exec sudo chmod 750 {} \;
$ sudo find /vawww/nextcloud/ -type f -exec sudo chmod 640 {} \;
$ sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-available/10-nextcloud
upstream nextcloud { server 127.0.0.1:9999; keepalive 64; } server { server_name naspi.webredirect.org; root /vawww/nextcloud; listen 80; add_header Referrer-Policy "no-referrer" always; add_header X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff" always; add_header X-Download-Options "noopen" always; add_header X-Frame-Options "SAMEORIGIN" always; add_header X-Permitted-Cross-Domain-Policies "none" always; add_header X-Robots-Tag "none" always; add_header X-XSS-Protection "1; mode=block" always; fastcgi_hide_header X-Powered_By; location = /robots.txt { allow all; log_not_found off; access_log off; } rewrite ^/.well-known/host-meta /public.php?service=host-meta last; rewrite ^/.well-known/host-meta.json /public.php?service=host-meta-json last; rewrite ^/.well-known/webfinger /public.php?service=webfinger last; location = /.well-known/carddav { return 301 $scheme://$host:$server_port/remote.php/dav; } location = /.well-known/caldav { return 301 $scheme://$host:$server_port/remote.php/dav; } client_max_body_size 512M; fastcgi_buffers 64 4K; gzip on; gzip_vary on; gzip_comp_level 4; gzip_min_length 256; gzip_proxied expired no-cache no-store private no_last_modified no_etag auth; gzip_types application/atom+xml application/javascript application/json application/ld+json application/manifest+json application/rss+xml application/vnd.geo+json application/vnd.ms-fontobject application/x-font-ttf application/x-web-app-manifest+json application/xhtml+xml application/xml font/opentype image/bmp image/svg+xml image/x-icon text/cache-manifest text/css text/plain text/vcard text/vnd.rim.location.xloc text/vtt text/x-component text/x-cross-domain-policy; location / { rewrite ^ /index.php; } location ~ ^\/(?:build|tests|config|lib|3rdparty|templates|data)\/ { deny all; } location ~ ^\/(?:\.|autotest|occ|issue|indie|db_|console) { deny all; } location ~ ^\/(?:index|remote|public|cron|core\/ajax\/update|status|ocs\/v[12]|updater\/.+|oc[ms]-provider\/.+)\.php(?:$|\/) { fastcgi_split_path_info ^(.+?\.php)(\/.*|)$; set $path_info $fastcgi_path_info; try_files $fastcgi_script_name =404; include fastcgi_params; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; fastcgi_param PATH_INFO $path_info; fastcgi_param HTTPS on; fastcgi_param modHeadersAvailable true; fastcgi_param front_controller_active true; fastcgi_pass nextcloud; fastcgi_intercept_errors on; fastcgi_request_buffering off; } location ~ ^\/(?:updater|oc[ms]-provider)(?:$|\/) { try_files $uri/ =404; index index.php; } location ~ \.(?:css|js|woff2?|svg|gif|map)$ { try_files $uri /index.php$request_uri; add_header Cache-Control "public, max-age=15778463"; add_header Referrer-Policy "no-referrer" always; add_header X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff" always; add_header X-Download-Options "noopen" always; add_header X-Frame-Options "SAMEORIGIN" always; add_header X-Permitted-Cross-Domain-Policies "none" always; add_header X-Robots-Tag "none" always; add_header X-XSS-Protection "1; mode=block" always; access_log off; } location ~ \.(?:png|html|ttf|ico|jpg|jpeg|bcmap)$ { try_files $uri /index.php$request_uri; access_log off; } }
$ sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/10-nextcloud /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/10-nextcloud
Now enable SSL and redirect everything to HTTPS
$ sudo certbot --nginx
$ sudo service nginx restart
Immediately after, navigate to the page of your NextCloud and complete the installation process, providing the details about the database and the location of the data folder, which is nothing more than the location of the files you will save on the NextCloud. Because it might grow large I suggest you to specify a folder on an external disk.

Minarca

Now to the backup system. For this we'll use Minarca, a web interface based on rdiff-backup. Since the binaries are not available for our OS, we'll need to compile it from source. It's not a big deal, even our small Raspberry Pi 4 can handle the process.
$ cd /home/pi/Documents
$ sudo git clone https://gitlab.com/ikus-soft/minarca.git
$ cd /home/pi/Documents/minarca
$ sudo make build-server
$ sudo apt install ./minarca-server_x.x.x-dxxxxxxxx_xxxxx.deb
$ sudo nano /etc/minarca/minarca-server.conf
# Minarca configuration. # Logging LogLevel=DEBUG LogFile=/valog/minarca/server.log LogAccessFile=/valog/minarca/access.log # Server interface ServerHost=0.0.0.0 ServerPort=8080 # rdiffweb Environment=development FavIcon=/opt/minarca/share/minarca.ico HeaderLogo=/opt/minarca/share/header.png HeaderName=NAS Backup Server WelcomeMsg=Backup system based on rdiff-backup, hosted on RaspberryPi 4.docs](https://gitlab.com/ikus-soft/minarca/-/blob/mastedoc/index.md”>docs)admin DefaultTheme=default # Enable Sqlite DB Authentication. SQLiteDBFile=/etc/minarca/rdw.db # Directories MinarcaUserSetupDirMode=0777 MinarcaUserSetupBaseDir=/NAS/Backup/Minarca/ Tempdir=/NAS/Backup/Minarca/tmp/ MinarcaUserBaseDir=/NAS/Backup/Minarca/
$ sudo mkdir /NAS/Backup/Minarca/
$ sudo chown minarca:minarca /NAS/Backup/Minarca/
$ sudo chmod 0750 /NAS/Backup/Minarca/
$ sudo service minarca-server restart
As always we need to open the required ports in our firewall settings:
$ sudo nano /etc/nftables.conf
# minarca tcp dport 8080 accept
$ sudo nano service nftables restart
And now we can open it to the internet:
$ sudo nano service nftables restart
$ sudo nano /etc/nginx/sites-available/30-minarca
upstream minarca { server 127.0.0.1:8080; keepalive 64; } server { server_name minarca.naspi.webredirect.org; location / { proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Server $host; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded_for $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_pass http://minarca; proxy_http_version 1.1; proxy_pass_request_headers on; proxy_set_header Connection "keep-alive"; proxy_store off; } listen 80; }
$ sudo ln -s /etc/nginx/sites-available/30-minarca /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/30-minarca
And enable SSL support, with HTTPS redirect:
$ sudo certbot --nginx
$ sudo service nginx restart

DNS records

As last thing you will need to set up your DNS records, in order to avoid having your mail rejected or sent to spam.

MX record

name: @ value: mail.naspi.webredirect.org TTL (if present): 90

PTR record

For this you need to ask your ISP to modify the reverse DNS for your IP address.

SPF record

name: @ value: v=spf1 mx ~all TTL (if present): 90

DKIM record

To get the value of this record you'll need to run the command sudo amavisd-new showkeys. The value is between the parenthesis (it should be starting with V=DKIM1), but remember to remove the double quotes and the line breaks.
name: dkim._domainkey value: V=DKIM1; P= ... TTL (if present): 90

DMARC record

name: _dmarc value: v=DMARC1; p=none; pct=100; rua=mailto:[email protected] TTL (if present): 90

Router ports

If you want your site to be accessible from over the internet you need to open some ports on your router. Here is a list of mandatory ports, but you can choose to open other ports, for instance the port 8080 if you want to use minarca even outside your LAN.

mailserver ports

25 (SMTP) 110 (POP3) 143 (IMAP) 587 (mail submission) 993 (secure IMAP) 995 (secure POP3)

ssh port

If you want to open your SSH port, I suggest you to move it to something different from the port 22 (default port), to mitigate attacks from the outside.

HTTP/HTTPS ports

80 (HTTP) 443 (HTTPS)

The end?

And now the server is complete. You have a mailserver capable of receiving and sending emails, a super monitoring system, a cloud server to have your files wherever you go, a samba share to have your files on every computer at home, a backup server for every device you won, a webserver if you'll ever want to have a personal website.
But now you can do whatever you want, add things, tweak settings and so on. Your imagination is your only limit (almost).
EDIT: typos ;)

I had a doctor take my request for permanent sterilization and took my feelings and issues seriously

So I’ve had loads of bad experiences with OBGYNs (I’m a 22 y/o who knows I don’t want kids, y’all know the drill.) But this one was recommended by my mom and she was amazing. She took my bladder issues seriously which no one else has and gave me a referral for that.
We then talked about pregnancy prevention. She was open to giving me a tubal ligation- I was floored. She didn’t tell me that it’s too early, she immediately respected my choice and didn’t try to say otherwise.
we are concerned about that option cause I get painful af periods that an IUD has helped with. I ended up in tears because I don’t want to be a woman (I’m not, I’m non binary) the idea of getting periods is beyond distressing for me because it’s a sick monthly reminder of my dysphoria. She leaned in and asked me about my gender identity and explained that they can do hysterectomies to help with gender dysphoria issues. She referred me to a doctor who specializes in gender issues for a consult for a hysterectomy.
I ended up in happy tears that I was taken seriously and that there is a way forward on my issues. Fuck kids and I’m just overjoyed. 11/10 best doctor I’ve ever had. I’ve never felt validated like this. Fuck yes to hysterectomies
TL; DR: I had a doctor take me seriously and referred me to a doctor who could give me a hysterectomy!

BAEX as an Ethereum blockchain based platform

BAEX as an Ethereum blockchain based platform
Hello! 👋🏻 In this post, we will tell you about the Ethereum blockchain as a basis of BAEX.
📌 Contrary to popular belief, Ethereum is not just the top 2 cryptocurrency, but a platform that was developed to create decentralized online services based on it.
🛠 We can say that Ethereum is a set of technologies that easily allows you to integrate itself into other projects, making them more technological and convenient for everyone.
🤖 Ethereum makes it easy to create smart contracts on its basis (after all, thanks to Eth, they received such massive development), as well as tokens. For example, ERC-20 has long been the industry standard token for the opportunities it provides.
💡 BAEX uses Ethereum for the following purposes:
🔹 Absolutely all BAEX tokens are backed by Ethereum, that is, 100% of Eth that users send to our platform is stored on the BAEX token smart contract.
🔹 Based on this, Ethereum is the liquidity provider for our token and BAEX in general.
🔹 At any time, users can withdraw their entire Eth that they have sent to our platform by paying a commission equal to 5% of the transfer amount. You can reduce the commission using the referral program.
✅ BAEX uses the full potential and advantages of Ethereum, providing our users with a unique service on which they can earn thanks to the liquidity of binary options.

BTC Global – A Huge Ponzi Scheme

Oh No! Another Cryptocurrency Scam

Since Bitcoin was created back in 2008, there have been numerous shady individuals and companies for that matter that have used the hype to their advantage to facilitate cryptocurrency scams. These shrewd schemes conned thousands upon thousands of people who knew virtually nothing about cryptocurrency but wanted to invest in this alluring venture. 2018 is underway but here is this year’s top cryptocurrency scam thus far:

BTC Global

Just a little over two weeks ago BTC Global collapsed and Broker Complaint Registry has received numerous complaints pertaining to this fraudulent broker. The company claimed to be an exclusive platform providing unparalleled earnings through valid binary trading services, but that was unfortunately not the case. Here are excerpts from there website:
“We are backed by our founding trader at Steven Twain.”
This “Steven Twain” character is not a real individual.
“Steven has 6 years of experience trading binary options with consistent success, over the last 3 years he has started providing trading services for other large account holders ($10,000+ only).”
I have not come across any trading history pertaining to Steven Twain.
“Through our partnership with Steven, BTC Global have secured access to guaranteed 14% WEEKLY returns from as little as $1,000 in your account. We have also secured extra returns to pay out as referral commissions should you decide to share this opportunity with others! There are very few legitimate opportunities to get the kind of returns on investment BTC Global is offering so we encourage you to get involved as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
How can a legitimate company guarantee any sort of returns?
In BTC Global there were two ways one could earn:

  1. Return on investment, which was 14% of the dollar amount that was invested, paid weekly in BTC.
  2. Team shares or commissions on the people that the investor recruited or referred (think of a pyramid scheme).

BTC Global – a textbook Ponzi scheme.

The definition of a Ponzi scheme is as follows:
A deceitful investing scam guaranteeing high rates of return with little to no risk to investors. The Ponzi scheme produces returns for earlier investors by procuring new investors. BTC Global certainly fits the bill
Investment values generally go up and down over a duration of time, especially the ones that offer potentially high yields. If an investment consistently generates the same returns despite the market conditions or guarantees these high returns that is cause for pause.
Additionally, Ponzi schemes usually involve investments that have not been registered with the SEC, FSB or any other regulatory agency. Obviously, registration is pivotal as enables investors to access pivotal information pertaining to the firm’s management, services, products and most importantly finances.
Lastly and most importantly if you do not receive a “scheduled” payment or incur difficulty when trying to cash out your investment that is the biggest red flag. Those who promote Ponzi schemes regularly ask investors to “roll over” investments and often promise returns in excess of the amount that was rolled over.

How to protect yourself from a cryptocurrency scam

Although we have just talked about the BTC Global scam, this is not the only one. The very best way to ensure your funds are safe is to know how to identify and avoid ponzi schemes like BTC Global.
Stay far away from ICOs, unidentified companies and companies that do not provide suitable information. Be sure that creator’s names and all team members are publicly listed and verified and, if reviews give consistent negative feedback it best to avoid that cryptocurrency broker.
If you have fallen victim to a cryptocurrency scam, send a complaint to at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), and we will do our very best to get into contact with you as soon as we can to initiate your funds recovery process. ASLAproject - a new empire in the decentralized environment of the cryptocurrency world

ASLAproject - a new empire in the decentralized environment of the cryptocurrency world
Our experts are capable of providing any advises and help to anyone who wants to join the project. We promise that our projects are not only profitable but also breathtaking. We are developing every day, do not miss the opportunity to be part of a grand project with a great future.

https://preview.redd.it/82fpaaolx2p51.png?width=977&format=png&auto=webp&s=80e78b1b89549ec3b6dbd60b0a6903c28bb49519
ASLAproject is
A decentralized ecosystem of products based on smart contracts of the Tron blockchain project for earning profit and further investing. We, the development team, are working to improve the ecosystem and develop its products. Our main task today is to create the best environment for the users to acquire money. At the same time, we do not conduct ICO and crowdfunding.
The goal is to create and implement an ecosystem with constantly updated products for your earnings, develop and implement tools for business and beyond. Much has already been done, but more still needs to be done.
Today, tokens cost less than what you want, but prices are already rising due to new product releases and community / project partners that form a solid foundation for future achievements.

Tokens and products
Our project is based on two coins that focus on all ecosystem products: ASLA and ASLAgame (Aga).
1. ASLAtrade is a binary options trading platform.

https://preview.redd.it/ga3pf8cnx2p51.png?width=978&format=png&auto=webp&s=25beb4b77b7ce0a87b9e58cd0f068f9536b6da14
ASLA is a token attached to the ASLAtrade platform, which is extracted through a unique mining system through binary options trading. In the image below, you can see the required amount of TRX spent to get a single token. Every day this amount is increasing.
Below is the menu for determining the freezing/withdrawal of tokens:
  1. When decent amount of tokens is frozen, it pays back with dividends that are collected in 40% from the platform's total pool.
  2. By withdrawing tokens to your wallet, the user receives dividends in the form of Aga tokens, which are linked to our products such as messenger, games, etc.
ASLA holders have implemented a feature that allows them to mine Aga tokens when in frozen state:
- Purchased ASLA in frozen state gives 20% of Aga tokens;
- Mined ASLA on the platform gives 25% of Aga tokens.

• Trading on three cryptocurrency pairs: BTC, ETH, BTH with a choice of different transaction duration
• Freeze ASLA to receive dividends in the form of TRX/Aga of the total pool platform
• Withdrawal of ASLA for trading on exchanges, or receiving dividends in the form of Aga tokens for storing tokens on the wallet

2. ASLAbet is the first cryptocurrency tote with a wide range of functions based on smart contracts.

https://preview.redd.it/1gx7p62rx2p51.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=bc94767f6223e15b25e84d00242684ca1110c1ec
Our team is working on the ecosystem for maximum benefit to the project users.
We present the ASLAbet cryptocurrency tote based on betting against people, not against the company! Bets on popular matches and favorite teams, winning percentages are formed automatically depending on the size of the bet and the number of players.
We do not limit ourselves to one direction, but also understand the interests of users. For this case, everyone will have the opportunity to create their own event, for which they will eventually receive a reward if it passes a vote among the community.
On the example of the recent match between Alexander Emelianenko and Magomed Ismailov, all those who put their bets on Alexander's victory completely lost their funds. With our platform, you would start returning your lost funds the next day, thanks to the Aga coin you received.
• Reward for each bet in the form of Aga tokens with an initial turnover of 100 TRX = 1 Aga. The mining difficulty will increase daily by 1 TRX.
• Even if you lose your bet when you freeze Aga coins, you will receive 30% of the profit from commissions.
• Referral system 15% of the system's profit.
Link: aslabet.comOfficial channel: t.me/aslabet

3. ASLA Messenger is a messenger with functionality for earning project tokens.

https://preview.redd.it/a6xghlktx2p51.png?width=655&format=png&auto=webp&s=3921b6be7d7f4bda454e1926b46cff91124e2c7d
Literally everyone uses messengers and communicates with their loved ones on a regular basis. We have made sure that you get paid for this. Communicate and earn - the perfect combination for the user.
At this stage, an alpha version of the app has been released for use with the earnings feature already available. The beta version is expected to include audio and video calls, a more functional interface, chats and channels, and much more.
• Complete tasks inside the messenger to get rewards in the form of Aga tokens.
• The most convenient and modern design of the app.
• Withdrawal of earned tokens to your wallet.
Play Market: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aslaproject.messenger&hl=en_US
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/ru/app/asla-messengeid1527990589

4. Games based on blockchain technology for earning cryptocurrency
https://preview.redd.it/7o74tpoux2p51.png?width=977&format=png&auto=webp&s=83305e57fdca9c312d3d271e35d5a88e08a705f2
Today, games are of great importance, this is a new way of gaming, in which we want to participate. Our main goal is to implement a gaming platform with games for earning money. Play with your friends, compete against the best players and earn cryptocurrency for winning your favorite games.
Currently in development are games such as "Heads and Tails", "Rock, paper, scissors", Dice, backgammon, chess, and larger projects – shooters with maximum gameplay, etc.
• A set of games of various genres with earnings
• Competitions, tournaments and other events with rewards in case of winnings
• Maximum decentralization and the ability to view all smart contracts

[META] The Rules and their Entirety

These are the rules, everything that pertains to everyone who wishes to make any sort of interaction within this sub. Per the last META, clarity has been given in regards to bulk-type sales. Since EVERYTHING is here for you all to read, we expect there to be less issues with rule infractions and general confusion as to what’s acceptable, and what isn’t. We devote our time and energy for this sub to continuously never reach a balance amongst the users.
Our goal is to ensure the subreddit itself sticks around, along with trying to keep the userbase from being taken advantage of. Our rules make sense to some, and none to others but they serve a purpose. Regardless of how you feel, these are the rules and it is expected they be followed. At the time this post becomes visible, all of what’s listed below will be enforced as a hard rule, no more wrist slaps or babysitting.

Reporting Rules

Here are the Subreddit Reportable violations. Violating these rules will get you a ban.

Reddit Rules:

Reddit Rules regarding Firearms
No firearm sales. No Ammunition sales. No primers or gunpowder, as they are considered explosives.
No selling or distributing of files related to 3D printed firearms.
If you have no idea what this is referring to, please educate yourself before posting anything related to 3D printing files by reading up on them at the following websites:
Firearms: A Firearm is considered the serialized receiver or assembly of a working firearm. If you are unsure if an item is prohibited, contact the mods prior to posting it.
80% lowers and completion kits are not included in this prohibition as they are not firearms yet.
Bump-Stocks are considered Machine Guns by the ATF and are therefore prohibited from trading on the sub.
Binary Triggers, Cranks, and Rubber bands and other such items are not (currently) affected by this prohibition (unless Admins change their minds later).
Explosives & Hazmat: Gunpowder and Live Primers are considered as explosives and Hazardous Materials and are therefore prohibited from trade.
Ammunition: Reddit Admins use the ATF definition of ammunition which is as follows:
The term “Ammunition” means ammunition or cartridge cases, primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for use in any firearm. The term shall not include (a) any shotgun shot or pellet not designed for use as the single, complete projectile load for one shotgun hull or casing, nor (b) any unloaded, non-metallic shotgun hull or casing not having a primer. 27 § 478.11
Brass and projectiles posted here will result in an immediate suspension by Reddit Admins, so if we find it first we will remove it.
Any violation of these above rules will result in a ban by us, or a site-wide suspension by Admins and their Anti-Evil goosesteppers.
Anyone attempting to skirt Reddit Rules will be given a 7 day ban on the first offense, a 30 day ban on the second offense, and a permaban thereafter due to the fact that Admins will use the bad behavior of a few to justify shutting down the sub for good.

Posting Rules:

This sub is for private sales only. Vendors must post in Gundeals or GunAccessoryVendors
Clarification on Vendor Rule: Don't include links to your business website, we are not a referral system, do your business on here. Please see the Reddit Self Promotion page for details on that. Reddit admins don't like you cutting in on their ad revenue. We do not support VENDORS, I.E. if you buy another company's products in bulk (such as Magpul), and just act as a distributoreseller, your business is not welcome here. That is /GunDeals territory. If you have an FFL, you cannot do business on here because are considered a firearm business, and cannot solicit any transactions involving firearms.
The limit on bulk sales/bulk items is 10, that means 10 of the same individual item can be posted for sale or trade. If you have 10 Geissele triggers, but only 4 are flat and 6 are curved, that will still count as 10, as they're the same branded trigger and likely purchased at the same time. If there are 3 OD Green items and 7 FDE that are otherwise the same item, that still count as 10. If you post 10 items of the same in one day, 10 the next, and 10 the following day after that, that will be viewed as vendor activity. To keep such things from happening, it will be limited to one sale of this type, per user, per week. The ONLY EXCEPTION to this rule is old magazines, as it is common for users to purge off part of their mag collection.
Please follow these rules when creating a listing: Prefix your title with the transaction type:
[WTS] - Want To Sell
[WTB] - Want To Buy
[WTT] - Want To Trade
[GIFT] - Gun It Forward Tactically
Suffix your title with your state (e.g. (GA) or (NY)). This will help incentivize local sales and could impact shipping costs. Also, it could affect legality of some items such as magazines and those accessories deemed as "assault weapon" parts by certain states.
Postings should all follow this general format as an example: "[WTS] M16A2 Carry Handle - $60 (VA)". If you do not list the price in the title, ensure that it is listed in the comments. Include a Dollar sign ($) or the bot will remove it.
Postings without a price value may be removed after a period of time. WTB posts require valid offering prices, and will be removed if they do not have one.
Postings with prices such as "$1 for the bot" or "$1,000,000 for the bot" that are intended to bypass our rules and automated removal system instead of posting a valid price, will be removed and a temporary ban will be issued immediately.
Postings without pictures will be removed immediately, unless these posts are WTB.
Do not post an item for sale if you do not have it in your possession at the time of posting. This includes an item you may have purchased elsewhere, you decided you don’t want it and it’s on its way to you, but it has yet to arrive. If you don’t have it, don’t post it.
If you post stock images of an item in your WTS/WTT post, that will result in a temp ban if it is your first time doing so, possibly permanent if done on multiple occasions. If you post images of someone else’s photos for “your” item, this will be viewed as scamming tactics and you will receive a permaban, immediately.
If you drop your price, use the Price Drop/NSFW Tag. If your items sell, use the Complete/Spoiler tag. Please don't delete the price of an item if it sells, because that can be used by people in the future to gauge what similar items may be worth.
If your post does not receive the traction you're wanting, refrain from reposting within a 24 hour time frame. You may repost after the 24 hours has passed, and a price drop is not required, but encouraged. Deleting your post and reposting afterwards is viewed as trying to evade this rule. It will be met with removal and a temp ban, possibly longer if done more than once.
Want to Buy/Sell/Trade (WTB/WTS/WTT): These transactions all require a price value for the item. If a listing does not include a price it may be removed and re-listed once it is in compliance. Giving an unrealistic price to avoid this rule will be treated as a rule violation. Examples of this are "WTB scope, $1" or "WTT Upper, $9999". Additionally, you must list what you are looking for in [WTT] posts. Fielding offers, testing the waters or any other post attempt to try and skirt this rule will result in the post being removed.
Gifting items forward: (GIFT) If you have small odds and ends that aren't worth much and the cost of shipping is prohibitive, you are allowed to offer items for free. The gifter is allowed to request compensation for shipping only, and can request a flair upgrade in the feedback thread for the transaction. If the receiver pays for shipping, they can also request a flair upgrade, but if they get the item for free, no flair upgrades for the recipient. Flair upgrades of this type are limited in order to avoid abuse, i.e. giving away 20 A2 grips in order to get +20 rep is not authorized.
Accounts with 5 or less flair (you must have at least 6) on GAFS are NOT eligible to participate in giveaways, due to users from other subs coming to win stuff without ever participating in GAFS, or GAFS users making multiple new burner accounts to enter giveaways.
New accounts (under 30 days of age) are not able to create WTS or WTT ads, nor should they offer things for sale in the comments of other peoples' posts. To prevent scams, new users can only post Want to Buy threads. If you want to attempt to bypass this account age requirement, you must be able to provide moderators evidence of a good trading history on another reputable online forum, such as Calgunner or AR15.com where you can show a longstanding history of positive trade feedback. If this is completed, moderators may provide an exception and allow WTS/WTT posts to be submitted by new users, with a warning caveat to any potential buyers to avoid using risky payment methods until the seller has had a chance to develop a positive trading reputation.
Any new accounts that utilize this subreddit that create names that are similar to a mods (i.e. sxbbzxro, sxbzxxro, subzxro, etc.) may be removed from participating here due to the possibility of confusing/having the ability to manipulate users into thinking they are in fact a mod.
Price Checks (PC): Because PC listings were abused by many to bypass the price rule, fish for "best offers", and otherwise snipe sales, they have been disabled after overwhelming support from the community.
We have a feedback system in place. The current month's flair thread is On the Sidebar, and is usually Stickied at the top as well. Check there for the specific directions. DO NOT create a thread for a sale that has already happened, or has happened in a different sub/website/forum etc. The Flair system is only for feedback for exchanges in /GAFS. Any attempts to game the flair system will be seen as an attempt to establish trust for scam purposes, and will be banned accordingly.
Law Enforcement: Be aware, we do not offer exemptions to any individuals who may have LE credentials. Due to the difficulty of verifying employment, possible job changes, leaving/termination from said job, etc. we treat all users as civilians. Any local and federal laws apply to all individuals who utilize this subreddit. Read up and stay up-to-date on these laws and regulations, you will be expected to know and abide by them. Failure to do so may lead to a ban.
External Sales:
NO LINKS to your external sales on TacSwap, eBay, Facebook, Armslist, Gunbroker, etc. Sales in multiple locations are allowed, but don't just provide a link to sale elsewhere. Make your listing here. The only caveat to these rules is to show a price point elsewhere if someone here has an item that is grossly overpriced, or is looking for an item.
This sub is not a "highest bid gets the item" format. There are also no lotteries for items i.e. 10 chances at $10 each to purchase a $75 flashlight with a random number generated to pick the winner.
High Value or Counterfeit Items:
To deter the sale of counterfeit products, any item that is serialized must have a picture of the serial. As firearms are not allowed for sale here, this shouldn't present a privacy issue to anyone. This policy covers items such as EOTechs, Aimpoints, Trijicons, etc. Along with this, if you're selling anything that's "new-in-box", you must unseal it and show the contents of said box/package.
No Stolen Property. If you are selling a knockoff item, indicate that fact. Items such as bipods, BUIS, flashlights, holsters, and scopes/optics are known to have some gray market options. KAC USMC Stamped Rear Sights are not stolen property and are allowed on here, unless another member can provide proof from a DoD source that they are in fact considered stolen government property.
All GAFS logos, icons, banners and visual content related to this subreddit, belong to the moderator team. Do not create/manufacture/produce items with this content onto itself. It is forbidden to profit off the GAFS name, unless discussed with the modteam in advance and given permission.

Shipping/Insurance Rules:

The official policy is for the mods to not get involved with issues regarding lost packages, provided that the parties can prove it was actually lost. If you feel like insurance should be added to your transaction, please take care to add that before finalizing terms.

General Rules:

WARNING: Be aware of all state and federal laws that apply to you and any parties involved in a firearms-related transaction. You are responsible for knowing and following the law. This Subreddit and its staff are in no way responsible for informing you of the law, but will make every effort to do so. As a buyer, be familiar with your state/county/city rules. As a seller, do not knowingly sell prohibited items to areas that have laws against your items, such as certain capacity magazines. Any person, buyer, or seller, who knowingly solicits a trade that is illegal for them may be subject to a ban.
Respect all federal and local laws for any transaction you take part in. This includes federal drug laws. Drug activity tied to your account tied to any other issues is sufficient grounds for banning. Here is the ATF Letter that explains why any suspected drug activity, including marijuana, is grounds for immediate banning from the sub. Illegal gun activity such as unregistered SBRs, AOWs, destructive devices, DIAS or lightning links in your reddit profile (in or outside the sub) can be reason for banning. Do not spread bad information regarding laws.
Any item you post for sale is expected to be in your current possession. If this is not the case, you must specify this in the listing. Circumstances such as selling for a friend is allowed, but pictures of your items are required to be shared to the public. You do not need an imgur.com account in order to host pictures of your item on imgur, so that is not an excuse.
If you are scammed, inform the mods as soon as you can so that we may investigate and ban the offending parties if necessary.
Do not post the personal information of any Reddit users. The exception to this is if someone uses PayPal to scam a member, this information may be sent to the mods to prevent others from also being scammed. Doxxing people will not be tolerated.
Do not antagonize posters about their price, opinion, or sexual orientation (etc). This translates to be a general rule of "no dickish behavior". If you disagree with someone's price, and can post evidence that their item has a current or recent better price elsewhere such as a link to a vendor, that information is authorized to be posted. That is not antagonism. People may comment on prices and offer counter-offers, as long as behavior is not insulting or unprofessional. If you feel that someone is being unprofessional regarding pricing, report it and the mods will evaluate the case. They are the determining factor whether behavior warrants muting, temporary banning, or permanent banning based on severity of incident, past behavior, and other factors. If your behavior does not contribute towards the positive image of firearms ownership, your participation in this subreddit may not be welcome.
Soliciting any type of transaction regarding prohibited items may result in a ban. This includes Price Checks of firearms and other prohibited items, as this can be seen as an attempt to garner PM offers for prohibited items. Remember that there is no expectation of privacy from Reddit Admins, and that they have shown in the past that they have access to private message histories.
As a general guideline, if a buyer wants to use PayPal Goods and Services (G&S) rather than Friends and family (F&F), it is expected that they will absorb the ~3% fee for the increased protections. However, PayPal F&F, Zelle, and Venmo and similar payment methods are discouraged here due to a lack of protections.
All rules and guidelines are subject to change. The moderators have the final say in all issues in relation to the rules and how to enforce them.

Is the gender clinic the best option in Melbourne?

I’m 26, non binary and want to look into my options around ftm top surgery and potentially starting on T. I don’t have any trans people in my life so I’m not really sure the best way to go about it all. I want to speak to my GP about getting a referral to the Monash gender clinic as it’s the only option I really know. I read some bad reviews about the clinic so feel a bit unsure now. Does anyone have experience with them they could share? Thank youuu
submitted by pufnpork to transgenderau [link] [comments]

So good and bad things. On the plus side I came out to a family friend. Downside her husband was talking down Trans peps to my fam.

So I was talking to her and my partner and his other partner (poly fam) we’re talking to him. I hear him start talking about the use of Them being plural, and I knew that was bs before I knew non-binary was an option. I used it in papers when a theoretical person’s gender was not disclosed. Ignorant point score at 1.
Next up talking about suicide rates being the same pre and post transition. Ya because people are assholes. But for many it improves their quality of life, help slow down and stop eating disorders, so on. It makes people happy. Ignorant point score 2.
Next up he started on about how condoning a war against themselves is unhealthy. Ok....? And that it just opens up a battle with society. Haha. Challenging societal norms is good for society. It’s not like the LGBTQ community doesn’t know it’s gonna be difficult coming out. 3
Last part he went on about appropriate therapy, in place of transitioning. Me just fast blinking. You gonna say the same to women who want breast reductions so the don’t get looked at all the time, so they will fit in the clothes and bras they like? People who want nose jobs? Face lifts? So on? No you don’t care about those. Also all the people I have seen transitioning need therapists referrals or primary care for long standing issues. 4
All of this “I don’t have a problem with trans people.”
So I didn’t actually respond to him. I’m in shock, because he’s actually an intelligent person. I’ve had a decent amount of respect for him before this. I look at his wife.
“Oh is he talking about the gender thing? Ya he had a problem with an ex friend who took things a bit too far.” Definite undertone of not agreeing with his point of view.
So.. I told her I have OSDD due to some trauma and actually identify as non-binary since not all of my alters are my bio gender. “Oh that’s fair.” She smiles and we continue playing with our kids. No big deal. Yay I came out to someone.
I’ve previously come out to therapist, best friend and partner. First semi close friend, and it went well.

Top 10 Ways To Make Money With Cryptocurrency By Trading

Top 10 Ways To Make Money With Cryptocurrency By Trading
https://preview.redd.it/wuqdths9eaj51.jpg?width=2400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72b078a3339091e0511c612b10ff6877037e0dfe
Cryptocurrencies need no introduction. In more than ten years, it has managed to become one of the most revolutionary changes in the work of digital transactions. However, when it comes to its applications, cryptocurrency has become a key attraction for many investors. When we talk about cryptocurrency, Bitcoin becomes a default choice. Although more than 5000 cryptocurrencies are floating in the market, Bitcoin remains the apple of the eye of many investors. So, here we are going to discuss what are the ten ways of making money with cryptocurrency or Bitcoin.
10 Ways To Make Money Using Cryptocurrency Trading :
1. HODLing- Buy and Hold Bitcoin- This is a simple rule of trading wherein the investor buys Bitcoin or cryptocurrency with an intent to hold it for a long time and then selling it in the future. It is a kind of long-term investment.
2. Bitcoin Arbitrage- In this, the investor buys Bitcoin at a low price from the cheapest exchange and then selling it at a higher price on another exchange. The difference in the price between the two platforms becomes the low-risk profit for the arbitrate trader.
3. Bitcoin futures trading- It allows the traders to assess the pricing of Bitcoin without actually owning the cryptocurrency. It works on betting long or short against the price of Bitcoin, or other cryptocurrencies.
4. Bitcoin solo mining- If you have a setup of a Bitcoin miner, then you can start as a solo-miner. You would need massive hash rates for this.
5. Bitcoin mining pools- It happens when different miners come together to increase the hashpower, it eventually helps in generating Blocks faster as the difficulty becomes more.
6. Bitcoin cloud mining- If you want to start mining in Bitcoin, then there is an option of hiring mining equipment in a remote location. The mining takes place remotely where it is affordable to mine.
7. Bitcoin network marketing- Different companies are offering bitcoin mining investment via structure where people get a commission on referral. These systems combine cryptocurrencies and network marketing.
8. Bitcoin affiliate programs- There are cryptocurrency companies that also give rewards in Bitcoin to the people who refer to a new customer. You can join any Bitcoin affiliate program and connect with other users on social media. For example, you can join the Bitcoin affiliate program, and then create YouTube videos about the product.
9. Bitcoin faucets- These are websites where you pay in Satoshis ( the smallest fraction of a bitcoin, 0.00000001 BTC)to complete a task like downloading the apps, completing the survey, or watching ads or videos.
10. Binary Trading with bitcoin- These have been there in the world of finance for a long time, and now it is moving in the world of cryptocurrencies. For example, you have two options to choose for Bitcoin price is $3000 now (at 10 AM), or you can invest in price, which is more than $3000 by 6 PM. Say the price of Bitcoin is higher than $3000 at 5 PM, then you can sell it at this time.
Conclusion- These are a few of the ways that help you make money and earn more with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

AMFEIX - ‘The world’s first cryptocurrency investment fund’. Is it a scam?

https://amfeix.com/
I came across this site from a banner ad on coinmarketcap.com. After reading and watching all their content, doing a little bit of research, it appears that AMFEIX is basically an investment fund where anyone can join into a pool of investors who entrust their bitcoins into a ‘group of expert crypto traders and market analyst’ to grow the fund (which is currently at 3,832BTC). They have a lot of documentation and content across their online platforms to make it seem legit, but there are also more than a few red flags.
This is a new company, with an unknown number of employees, registered in the U.A.E., with only one physical location in South Africa. They have one person as the face of the company (on their LinkedIn page) and he appears to be just that, a face, not the CEO or the head crypto trader.
There are a few other red flags but one thing this company is not is a ponzi or pyramid scheme, it just doesn’t fit the characteristics of those. But the ultimate questions prevails: what stops this company from just walking away with my bitcoins?
I decided to check it out for myself so I opened a wallet through their website, sent the minimum amount to invest (.02BTC) and watched it grow to .02010499 in 6 days. Then I withdrew my bitcoins back to my home wallet. Seemed a little too simple actually.
While this company consists of a lot of red flags, it also has the potential to be a successful venture if they take steps to legitimize themselves and address a potential investor’s concerns, especially those who do not have the time or know-how to trade cryptos, while still believing in their potential on ROI. Ultimately, as is the old fail safe when it comes to anything dealing with cryptocurrency investing, don’t put it more than you are willing to lose.
(I put more BTC into the fund, will report back)

[Effortpost 2 of 15] Joe Biden and the LGBTQ community

[Content warning: this post contains articles that discuss hate crimes and bigotry against the LGBTQ community.]
Joe Biden believes that every human being should be treated with respect and dignity and be able to live without fear no matter who they are or who they love.
To date, the Obama-Biden administration has appointed more than 250 openly LGBTQ professionals to full-time and advisory positions in the executive branch.
Here is a link detailing VP Biden's plan for the LGBTQ community.

Gay Marriage

2004 - Joe Biden voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment.
6 May 2012 - “I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual men and women marrying one another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties.”
10 May 2012 - "W.H.: Biden forced Obama's hand"
26 August 2012 - Vice President Joe Biden thanked gay rights advocates Sunday for advancing not just their own civil rights, but also the “civil rights of every straight American.” [...] “You are freeing the soul of the American people,” Biden said to loud applause during a stop in Provincetown, Mass., according to a pool report.
26 June 2015 - Joe Biden issues a statement praising Obergefell v. Hodges.
2 August 2016 - Vice President Joe Biden officiated his first wedding ever -- and it was for a same sex couple.

Transgender Equality

28 October 2012 - Vice President Joe Biden said transgender discrimination is “the civil rights issue of our time" during a visit to a Florida field office.
3 October 2015 - "No longer is there any question transgender people are able to serve in the United States military," Biden told a crowd of 3,000 gay rights activists at the group's star-studded gala.
27 July 2017 - Former Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday criticized President Trump’s call for a ban on transgender people serving in the military, saying that every qualified American should be able to serve.
1 June 2019 - "We've already had five, just this year, five black transgender women killed violently in 2019 -- that's outrageous. It must, it must, it must end," Biden said as the supportive crowd broke into applause. "And the fastest way to end it is, end the Trump administration."
3 October 2019 - "People of faith should support transgender equality," says former Vice President Joe Biden.

15 May 2020 - In addition, Biden said individuals on IDs should be able to select a third-gender option when they register to vote. “You ought to be able to just put X on sex, and be able to — you don’t have to explain a damn thing,” Biden said. “If you’re a registered person in that place, you should be able to vote.”

16 May 2017 - "Americans must stand with LGBT people around the world"
10 October 2019 - Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden said on Thursday he would withhold foreign aid from countries that persecute lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

A Bad Gendercare Experience (Diabolically Bad Admin)

I thought I'd share this particular saga as it might be of interest to people. Frankly, at this point, I also just want to vent. I think it proves that although people often try to knock GenderGP, actually GenderCare and others can also be pretty downright useless.
I've been with GenderGP for a couple of years now and generally pretty happy with them - minimal gatekeeping, slow on emails but generally ok (though they occasionally don't read emails properly, but generally better than my NHS GP). Only big issue with GenderGP was the portal fiasco, which now seems to have settled down a bit.
I'm now in the process of trying to sort out referrals for bottom surgery. The particular surgeon I'm using is a bit of a prat, and won't accept GenderGP referrals. I already have one referral courtesy of Dr Beaini in Bradford (whom I'd recommend), and now just need the second referral. After an email exchange with YourGP which left me very worried they'd be overly gatekeepy (they ended up extolling the virtues of the NHS system...), I thought I'd go via GenderCare instead.
First emailed GenderCare (specifically Kirpal Sahota) with a list of questions - basic stuff like costs (Sahota's costs are not listed on the website), checking they don't require multiple appointments, checking they are happy to do it via zoom etr... Got an email back, but it was pretty self evident they hadn't read the email, as they only answered a couple of questions, vaguely gave some information that allowed me work out the answer to a couple more, and flat out didn't answer the rest. They also sent a new patient form, which was a bit premature given this was only a quick enquiry.
Clinicians can be bad for admin, so emailed back requesting clarity on the remaining questions. Got an answer back answering only one of the two questions I asked...
At this point, I was a bit fed up of no answers, so explored alternate options, before deciding on sticking with it and going with GenderCare. So I filled in their form, attached the relevant documents and sent it back.
The next email back made it clear they still hadn't read my email, as they assumed I needed two referrals... I only need one. They also made it clear they hadn't read my email, when they said I should speak to the surgeon (I already have).
So now they send me a confirmation form and appointment, so all good. Well, not quite, this is coming from a psychologist and yes dyslexia isn't their speciality, but they should have a better idea than most that no one uses Times New Roman as a font anymore because it's hard for Dyslexic people to read (me included). They also write "he/she" as a pronoun when talking about NHS GPs, which is a personal pet hate. It's grammatically incorrect (should be "they" according to a dictionary), and frankly, it excludes non-binary folk. I wouldn't care too much but you expect better from a gender clinic. Yet again, they made it clear they had not read my emails, as they asked about hormones... Which has nothing to do with surgery... So I avoided the temptation to have a bit of a go at them at this point and replied nicely, questioning whether I actually needed to send them hormone monitoring information, and pointing out they should probably fix their form. It was now 10pm, as I've been trying to get this form sent back before bed, and having been working non stop since 8am (work is under time pressure right now), I was pretty well exhausted.
So I wake up in the morning to: "Your appointment has been cancelled and we are refunding you." The rest of the email seemed to be saying they thought I wasn't on hormones, had no interest in hormones, and thus was ineligible for surgery. They were told 3 times in the emails prior I was with GenderGP for hormones. I actually emphasised this point to some extent, because I didn't want GenderCare trying to waste my time trying to get me to switch to them for hormones.
At this point, rightly or wrongly, I lost my patience. The first line of my email back read: "Please can you read my emails properly before you reply? I am used to clinicians not reading emails properly and not looking at things in context, but this is becoming ridiculous." Once I calmed down a bit, I sent a further response basically asking they phone me on my mobile 'so we can sort out this mess, as it is apparent we are getting nowhere with emails'.
Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised I have had no reply.

The Moral of the Story You get used to a lot of rubbish as a trans person and putting up with people not reading emails is probably the least of it. But this whole saga does seem to suggest that despite what everyone says, GenderCare is as hopeless a mess as any other clinic. Honestly though, after loosing confidence in GenderGP a bit after the portal fiasco, I am now rather glad to be with them not GenderCare! At least GenderGP actually manage to get past the admin stage! Well, eventually anyway...
I realise others have better experiences with GenderCare, but I thought it wasn't a bad thing to share what happened.
EDIT Slightly amended first paragraph as I wasn't happy with the wording. Subsequently did a second edit as this knocked out some of my formatting.

My partner needs hair removal therapy - advice please?

Hi, my partner has recently enough come out to me and a few friends as non binary. I want to support them as best I can, and we've talked about things that give them dysphoria so we can avoid/fix them as best we can. The one solid thing that has come up is their facial hair. They really really hate it and have said they would shave three times a day if they could, they're unfortunately genetically prone to strong facial hair. I've asked them whether they would like laser hair treatment and they said they probably want to get it done, and so I want to look at the options.
Background: were in the UK and not high on funds- we're under 20k a year between the two of us.
Can anyone give me any ideas about what would be needed, do we just need to save? Do we need a referral from a doctor? I know it's almost certainly super expensive but is there any way of making it affordable? I was looking briefly at home versions but saw in another post that they don't work on facial hair, but would it be better than nothing?
All help appreciated thank you!

[Effortpost 2 of 15] Joe Biden and the LGBTQ community

Banca internacional #07 CH – Investment banking, arbitrage, crypto y hedging diario

Este contenido fue publicado originalmente el 21/10/2019 - Aca
Posts anteriores de la serie
